Children born in the 21st century possess an innate awareness that sets them apart. These naturally gifted individuals have a depth of perception that is more attuned to the world around them compared to previous generations. However, this heightened awareness presents significant challenges, particularly when adapting to traditional schooling environments that often lack support for children's emotional well-being. Many are hypersensitive to sound and light, leading to overstimulation that hampers their ability to focus under pressure. As a result, they frequently find themselves labeled with conditions such as Autism, Asperger’s, ADD, ADHD, Dyslexia, and various learning disabilities. This labeling can create divisions in schools, making those who feel marginalized struggle to find their place, which in turn can lead to negative behaviors born out of a lack of validation and a sense of not being heard or understood.
Newer generations of children are dynamic, innovative, and often misunderstood. Some exhibit extraordinary brilliance, highlighting a distinct difference in their learning potential compared to their peers. While they may lack social cues and struggle with socialization, their analytical minds can prevent them from relating to typical behaviors for their age. They often become hyper-focused on specific thoughts, making anything outside that scope a distraction. This focus makes them thrive in routines, while spontaneity or abrupt topic shifts can be off-putting.
In contrast, some children are intuitive and flourish in creative activities but struggle within strict routines. They often prefer flexibility to explore ideas rather than being confined by traditional structures. Environments that are overly restrictive, characterized by crowded spaces, fluorescent lighting, and long periods of sitting, can hinder their attention and learning. In these settings, minds may wander, and they struggle with traditional lecture styles, memorization, and standardized testing. Conversely, many children thrive in alternative education settings that allow for learning in nature, where they can connect with real-life skills through a more relaxed and holistic approach to education.
When children can engage in an environment that promotes their emotional well-being, connecting what they learn to real-life applications while following their passions, their excitement for learning grows. The traditional education system, with its rigorous curriculum and one-size-fits-all methods, does not cater to every child's needs. Therefore, alternative education models that emphasize holistic learning are beneficial for countless families worldwide.
At Aramis Creative Learning Centers (ACLC), our mission is to promote youth development by fostering spiritual well-being, nurturing pro-social friendships, and enhancing interpersonal skills while instilling a sense of hope. We strive to create an alternative, holistic learning environment conducive to emotional, mental, and physical well-being. Our philosophy holds that animals can catalyze healing from emotional and physical trauma, and through animal-centered learning and a project-based approach focused on health and wellness, we aim to support children's growth.

We believe children should be free to learn in an environment of imagination, creativity, and excitement. Our centers will offer a unique approach to alternative education that emphasizes holistic learning for children aged 5 to 18. We strive to inspire children to tap into their innate potential by providing classes that foster children's emotional well-being alongside their spiritual, emotional, and intellectual growth. We recognize that children are the future, and investing in their development at a young age involves catering to their individual learning styles, interests, and developmental stages. One learning style does not fit all, and the one-size-fits-all educational approach can lead to unhealthy dynamics that contribute to issues like depression, anxiety, and low self-confidence. Our centers provide a diverse array of classes, fostering an equal partnership between the child and their mentors. The courses are designed around foundational life skills that adequately prepare children for various stages of their lives. At Aramis, we do not operate with grade levels; instead, we group children developmentally based on their learning styles, maturation, and interests. This arrangement enables older children to inspire and guide younger ones, while promoting collaboration across different stages of development.
When a child is ready to learn beyond their current developmental group, they will progress to the next stage without a formal grade system or pass/fail criteria. Advancement occurs when the mentor, parent, and child collectively agree that the child is ready, creating a relaxed learning environment free from stress. Children are encouraged to learn at their own pace, engaged through intuitive learning that incorporates mindfulness, collaboration, art, music, math, science, reading, and writing, along with avenues of creativity and real-life relevance. Our learning centers cultivate an atmosphere of excitement where children look forward to learning.
Our mission is to offer a transformative educational experience grounded in holistic, intuitive-based learning, prioritizing children's needs. They will acquire valuable life skills, preparing them for their futures, while working with mentors who are genuinely passionate about fostering children's emotional well-being. This allows them to learn through creativity, self-expression, independence, collaboration, and mutual respect with their mentors. Our centers celebrate each child's uniqueness and honor their differences throughout the various stages of their learning development. We do not label our students, such as with terms like ADHD or Autism; instead, we honor children for who they are. There are no labels, judgments, or hierarchies among students. For those requiring additional guidance or special attention, we provide support on an individual basis, including access to integrative and spiritual counselors, special needs mentors, and intuitive coaches.
